Band
Energy band in which the AGN counts are computed.S min, max
Flux interval in the chosen energy band over which the AGN counts are computed.E min, max
Energy bounds of the output CXB spectrum, in keV. Valid entries are between 0.1 and 1000 keV.log NH min, max
Absorption range (logarithms of the column density NH/cm-2 are used). Valid entries are between 20 and 26, in steps of 1 (i.e. 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26). A few examples showing how to get the contribution from different AGN classes are listed below:class log NH min log NH max
Unabsorbed 20 21
Absorbed Compton thin 21 24
Absorbed Compton thick 24 26
Mildly Compton thick 24 25
Heavily Compton thick 25 26
redshift min, max
Redshift interval. Valid entries for z_min and z_max are between 0 and 10. Results for very narrow intervals (z_max - z_min < 0.05) may be inaccurate.high-z decline
Two options are available for the evolution of AGN at high redshift. In the first option ( ), the XLF evolves as parameterized by Eqs. 8,9 and 10 of Hasinger, Miyaji & Schmidt (2005, A&A, 441, 417; HMS05). This produces a mild decline of the AGN number density as a function of redshift as shown in Fig. 5a of HMS05. In the second option ( ), the XLF described above is multiplied by a steeper decline term at redshifts above 2.7 parameterized following Schmidt, Schneider & Gunn (1995, AJ, 110, 68): XLF_YES = XLF_NO * exp(2.7-z).log L min, max
Logarithmic luminosity interval. Input values must be 0.5-2 keV rest frame, de-absorbed luminosities in units of erg/s. Entries can be extended even beyond the range logL=42-48 used by Gilli, Comastri, Hasinger (2007, A&A, 463, 79)Contacts: roberto.gilli
